Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a well-qualified administrative assistant to work with our Chief Executive Officer at Ideal Vacuum Products. We're seeking a creative individual who will enjoy working in a small business type environment. The person hired for this position will work closely with the operations manager to accomplish daily objectives, including, marketing efforts for new product lines, and sales reports for existing products. Applicants with a college degree are desired. There is great opportunity for future advancement. Full-time 40 to 45 hours per week, 8 to 5 pm, M-F.

Senior Product Design Mechanical Engineers

Ideal Vacuum is seeking a senior engineer to work on the product development of mechanical scroll and multi-stage blower type vacuum pumps. They are called "dry pumps" because they do not use vacuum pump oil to seal the pumping stages. Being dry, they operate on a non-contact design, where high-speed rotors are mounted very close to stationary stators, this is in some ways like a turbo or supercharger in a performance sports car. The fast-rotating speed and close tolerance keeps airflow moving forward while limiting backwards migration of gases. A key technical challenge is to correctly address thermal expansion, to maintain the close tolerances between fix and moving components. Elegant and innovative designs are needed, which will correctly manage thermal expansion caused by the heat generated as the gases are compressed in the vacuum generating process; while simultaneously preventing component contact which would cause the pump to seize. This Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the Product Development team to design, analyze, test, and validate these new vacuum pumps through the full Product Life Cycle, from concept, the initial sale, to product service. This will involve developing and implementing innovative solutions, leading the product development process, and delivering these projects on time.

Accounting & Bookkeeping Assistant Position

We are seeking a creative individual who will enjoy working in a small business-type environment, we are a family owned company with about 80 employees. Daily objectives include bookkeeping and accounting practices using QuickBooks and our other software packages to reconcile sales accounts and submit state use tax payments. Pay depending on previous work experience. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, typically from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Mechanical Engineers

Ideal Vacuum is looking for a mechanical design engineer to join our team. The Ideal Vacuum engineering team manages product development, testing, and manufacturing. A successful applicant for this position will have organizational skills, SolidWorks modeling experience, drafting skills, and understand design for manufacture.

Mechanical Engineers For Spectroscopy Product Development

Ideal Vacuum and Ideal Spectroscopy are looking for mechanical design engineers to join our team to support vacuum and optical laser device component development. An active and growing field of research and development is in the VUV and XUV wavelength regions of the spectrum, 200 to 100 nm and 100 to 10 nm, respectively. Our companies, Ideal Vacuum and Ideal Spectroscopy, are excited to work together to develop products that will assist research groups who are setting up experiments to study the science and physics of atoms and molecules with optical transitions in these regions. Successful applicants for this position will have organizational skills, SolidWorks modeling experience, drafting skills, and an understanding of how to design products that will be manufactured. Additional experience working with laser optics, complex research assemblies, and optical ray tracing software packages, such as Zemax OpticsStudio, is desired but not mandatory. The design engineers hired for these positions will work closely with the principal investigator and other chief engineers.

Warehouse Inventory & Shipping Position

We have a couple positions open in the shipping and receive departments for our warehouse. Persons applying for this position must have excellent computer skills and be able to quickly and efficiently learn new computer software. The candidate must be experienced at operating a forklift and warehouse equipment. On a typical day we receive 10 to 15 inbound motor freight skid shipments and must pick and prepare 8 to 10 outbound shipments.

Software Engineer - Generalist

Join a dynamic, professional, and experienced Programming team to develop new programs and code for embedded systems, production flow managment, lab use, and automated crontrol systems. Our software design team works on modern UI design, development and maintanance of internal use applications, as well as code desinged for running industrial control systems. We will be greatly increasing our software development load and need qualified candidates to join our team.
