They have five counterbored holes, one on each corner inset 1" from the edge and one in the center, which are used with 1/4" socket head cap screws to provide a smooth top surface when mounting the breadboard to a table or adding pedestals as feet. The flatness is specified as 0.006" over 1 ft2. These breadboards can be used inside a vacuum chamber system due to the lack of an anodized coating, down to 10-6 Torr. Ultra-High Vacuum ranges could be reached with additional post-process cleaning by the user. Also, the mounting holes are tapped through the entire thickness of the plate. Negating the need for vented hardware. Width = 6 in. Length = 6 in. Thickness = 0.5 in. 1/4"-20 inch tapped on a 1" standard optical table breadboard pattern.
