Ideal Vacuum is seeking a sales engineer to support our sales team. A Sales Engineer at Ideal Vacuum works closely with customers via phone, email, chat, and in-person support to help solve their technical vacuum challenges. Being curious to learn about our customers' projects and applications helps us understand their needs so we can be a helpful technical partner. As a technical sales engineer, you’ll collaborate with sales, R&D, and management to support a wide range of customer need from rocket test chambers to university research labs.
Many of our customers are new to scientific vacuum equipment and rely on us to guide them to the right solutions. When you help them, they’re grateful and often ask for you by name next time. This role is intellectually rewarding, offering the chance to learn about cutting-edge research in fields like physics, aerospace, chemistry, semiconductors, and more. If you're technically inclined, curious, and a strong communicator, this is a great fit. Most interactions happen via phone and email, requiring clear writing, multitasking, and a willingness to learn.
