Pfeiffer Pressurized, Calibrated Hydrogen Reference Leak, For Pfeiffer ASM 306S Leak Detector, PN: 127387 4043.4
Currency: Euro (Euro)

Description

The Pfeiffer Calibrated Leak is a pressurized, calibrated hydrogen reference leak. Use with the Pfeiffer ASM 306S Helium Leak Detector.
Pfeiffer Adixen part number: 127387.

What it actually does

It is designed to emit a precisely defined hydrogen leak rate so that helium sniffer leak detectors can be verified and calibrated. The device is a pressurized, precision-engineered calibrated leak that emits 100% hydrogen at a known, extremely small leak rate:

  • Leak rate: 100% Hydrogen, value between 4-6x10 -5 mbar l/s.
  • Gas: 100% hydrogen
  • Purpose: To verify, calibrate, and function-check helium-sniffing leak detectors such as the Pfeiffer ASM 306 S
  • Lifetime: Approximately 2 years
  • Type: Pressurized reference leak (subject to transport regulations)

Why it’s needed

Helium sniffer leak detectors must be periodically checked against a known, certified leak to ensure:

  • Measurement accuracy
  • Sensitivity verification
  • Compliance with quality standards
  • Repeatability of test results

The calibrated leak provides a traceable reference point, so the detector can confirm it is reading the correct leak rate.

How it’s used

Technicians attach or present the calibrated leak to the sniffer probe of the ASM 306 S. The detector should read the known leak rate; if not, the instrument may need adjustment or service.

In other words

The Hydrogen Leak is the “test leak” that ensures your helium leak detector is working correctly, not the detector itself. (For Installation Instuctions and Operation see .PDF Below in Downloads.)
