Lambda-Physik (Model FL3002E) Used Excimer Pumped Pulsed Dye Laser
The Lambda-Physik FL-3002E pulsed dye laser is an excellent laser system for producing medium- (0.4 cm-1
) and high-resolution (0.04 cm-1
) tunable laser radiation form the near infrared to the ultraviolet (900 to 210 nm). The FL-3002E comes standard with wavelength control (900 to 330 nm at 0.4 cm-1
resolution) and has two upgrade options; inner cavity etalon (0.04 cm-1
line width) and frequency doubling for UV radiation.
The FL-3002E is equipped with a built in scan control unit, which is used to scan the grating, inner cavity angle tuned etalon, and frequency doubling crystals. These Lambda-Physik FL-3002E dye lasers have the following specs:
Up to 25 W with fast rep rate excimer laser pumping.
Up to 25 mJ with excimer pump
Down to 0.4 cm-1

Listed below is a sample laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectrum of room temperature iodine vapor recorded with one of these Lambda Physik FL-3002E dye lasers. The high-resolution (0.04 cm-1) LIF spectrum was recorded using the inner cavity etalon. The spectrum is congested with multiple transitions due to the 5/2 nuclear spin of iodine and the underlying hyperfine structure.
