Swagelok SS-RDK-16-1900, Replacement Rupture Disc Unit, 1900 psig Burst Disk, 316L Stainless Steel
This Swagelok® Rupture Disc Unit replaces a damaged unit on Swagelok Rupture Disc Tees and Needle valves with Rupture Disc.
These single-use rupture disc units are designed to rapidly vent sample cylinders or other equipment to atmosphere, providing pressure relief in the case of an overpressurization.
The Swagelok rupture disc is welded to a body that is then threaded into the Rupture Disc Tee or valve body and sealed by an FKM O-ring. The Rupture Disc Unit is replaced easily without removing the valve or tee from the system. Rupture disc replacements are available with a nominal burst pressure of either 1900 or 2850 psig.
Caution: Compressed gas
cylinders must be equipped with pressure relief devices in accordance
with CGA S-1.1, the definitive standard for the selection of the
correct pressure relief device required to meet the requirements of the
U.S. DOT in 49 CFR for over 150 gases.
- Be sure to use the correct pressure-relief device for the gas being used.
- Proper filling of cylinders according to DOT specifications, or other local regulations, is critical in preventing overpressurization.
