These aluminum bulkhead adapter fittings are designed to fit through a 1 inch diameter hole and can be used on plates up to 1-1/4" thick. The fitting is sealed with a Viton O-ring. The compression port provides a quick vacuum connection for mounting gauges, instruments, or adding a tube port without welds. They are designed to work with round 1 inch outer diameter parts or tubing and are high vacuum rated down to the 10
-8 Torr range. Included is a 2-piece, 1 inch compression plug with Viton O-ring seal which can be used to blank off the port when not in use. The bulkhead nut and washer are made of brass.

Brass alloys contain Zinc. Zinc will outgas from brass under certain combinations of elevated temperature and high-vacuum. System damage may occur if these conditions are present.
