Senior Technical Writer (Albuquerque, NM - Full-Time ) On-Site

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technicians to research and gather technical information.
• Create clear, concise, and technically accurate documents for internal use and for customers.
• Produce operational, service, and assembly procedure manuals for vacuum products and systems.
• Maintain document revisions and update documentation as products change.
• Create and maintain website product listings with accurate technical details and attributes.
• Support documentation needed for existing and new products and systems.

Documentation Scope

• Operational and user documentation.
• Service and troubleshooting documentation.
• Assembly and installation procedures.
• Internal work instructions (as needed).
• Technical website product listings and supporting copy.
• Other technical documentation for new product development.

Education & Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in a hard science (chemistry, physics, or similar).
• Professional STEM background.
• Two years of experience in a similar or related role.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to write basic HTML for formatting website product listings.
• Basic photography is a plus.

Tools & Workflow

• Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign is primary for layout and manuals).
• SME interviews and research to validate product behavior and procedures.
• Revision discipline: maintain change history and keep documents current.
• Documentation review cycles with engineering and technicians for accuracy.
• Web listing updates: format and publish product content with consistent attributes.
